Round five of the 2023 season was held at yet another new track for Doyle Parfait to adapt to, as the championship headed to Misano.
The weekend kicked off with free practice on Friday with two P6 results for Parfait, a season best result. Qualifying was next, and whilst there were positives to take it wasn't quite what Doyle Parfait was hoping for: "The week-end at Misano started well, being P6 on the first of two practise sessions, and qualifying in P14 for all three races was an improvement from previous weekends, but we weren't quite where we should be."
Race one and two concluded with a P18 and P19 respectively, a tough begining to the races of the weekend. Race three had much better prospects after Parfait fought his way up to P12 with time remaining to aim for the points, however a last lap engine failure cut short any hope of a top 10 finish.
"We’ve taken a big learning step over the course of the weekend" concluded Doyle Parfait. "We hope to be even stronger for Lèdennon in two months' time. I’m happy with the progression in my knowledge and understanding of the car, but now all that’s left to do is to put that knowledge and understanding into practice."
As aforementioned the championship next heads to Lèdennon in France for round six of season, after a long two month break until the 22nd of September.
